Things to Note— Read Carefully
*Classes are only in the mornings for offline classes and evenings are for online or as advised. Kindly attend only respective classes as registered for.
BhaktiDhyana sessions are for all students.
*The first few weeks of practice for beginners will be 40-50 mins and gradually time will increase. However, the full practice will be around approximately 90 minutes.
*Following the standards of the traditional method, a student is not given a new asana when they feel they’re ready. Rather, they receive a new asana when their teacher knows they’re ready. Students should refrain from asking for a new asana and remain present, learning with patience, discipline, dedication, and devotion towards the practice and tradition.
*After receiving the classes fee, the classes will begin. There will be a lock-in period for a minimum of 1 month. Students should not cancel or miss the classes in that 1 month period.
*Fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable once the classes start, so kindly decide earlier if you are ready to dedicate your time to the practice.
*If there is a change in schedule on my end, I will adjust the classes. However, if a student misses the class it is considered their loss. There will be no makeup classes given. Students are not encouraged to miss any classes. If you cannot come to the class for any genuine reason, kindly send me a message.
*If you have any financial problem and unable to pay the full fee for sometime, you can talk to me personally for the same.
*Please remember your monthly due date. It will be the start date of your first class. Your monthly fee will be due every 30 days from the first day of your class. Please submit the payment on time, as I will not remind the students to pay the fee on time, it is students duty to do so. If you cannot pay the fee on time for any reason, please inform me.
*Respect the teacher’s time and that of your own. Being inconsistent will not give you results.
*Attendance is discipline, and it is most important for learning. All classes are counted including the ones which are missed due to illness, ladies holidays, or any other reasons.
*There will be no classes on full moon and new moon days as we observe rest days. Read our “Ashtanga Resources” page on the website to understand why.
*Female students refrain from practice and take rest from asana practice on the first 2-3 days of their menstrual cycle (ladies holiday). Please discuss this with me if you feel open to.
*Please maintain quietude in the shala. Keep your phone on silent mode. Focus only on your practice. Once you are done with your practice, stay on your mat and sit quietly by closing your eyes for a few minutes to soak in the energy that you’ve cultivated into your whole being.
*At anytime during the class, if you feel any discomfort or strain, gently come out of the asana. You may rest at anytime during the class. Kindly inform me so I’m aware and can support you in these moments.
*Please bring your own yoga mat, a hand towel and a positive attitude
